TRUE STORY

I was at Nintendo World last Friday and I saw some DS Pokémon Trainers battling each other in the Pokémon section. The core group that was there was comprised of probably early high schoolers. They were spread out on the two Wii stations that had PBR on them. (DISCLAIMER: I'm fairly new to the hardcore Pokémon scene, so I don't see things like this everyday or know what "haxx" means. I had to ask the kid.)

side story: It was all nice and friendly until a little pudge kid showed up and started trash talking. He was waiting to get on and making fun of the choices of moves that were being chosen. "Explosion! why would you kill yourself???" "My Pokémon are going to kill yours!" (his whole team is all Ubers.) He ended up losing.

So anyways, from what I understand, there were two groups and they were taking turns battling each other. They were very stylized and very over-confident in their skills—just like Ash from the show. The one kid I was watching had a red hat, a black Nintendo World tee.

I thought, hm...this is just like in the game...trainers are just sitting around waiting for challenges. I thought about Ace Trainer Wendy and Pokemon Breeder Gary and Pikachu Fan Jerry and Dragon Tamer Amy. I thought, wouldn't it be cool if kids actually "dressed" their part more?

The world would be a lot more interesting!

MONSTER EGG GROUPDo you know what it means when a new proper Pokémon game comes out means to Snorlax? The possibility that there will be more Pokémon in the Monster Egg group!!! woooooo!

LOOKED INTO: UNKNOWN GENDERS OF POKÉMON
Some Pokémon have unknown genders. Why is that? Legendaries are the big one, but then there are random ones. Ones that exist outside the natural world. Starmie, Porygon—just to name a few. And yet some of them can breed. And I dont just mean with Ditto(he gets with ANYBODY). Mysteries...



This is Magnezone. He's actually made up of a bunch of Magnemite.

Check out the description of Magnemite from Bulbapedia:

Magnemite is a robotic lifeform that has a gray, circular body with a single, big eye, a horse shoe magnet on its left and right sides, two Phillips head screws that are supposed to be feet, and another screw on top of its head that looks similar to an antenna.

I guess thats just a long way to say no gender. hes a ~ro-bot-ic-life-fooorrrmmmm~

well anyways, if they decide to give it gender distinctions—here i am officially submitting my ideas. you KNOW the current Magnezone/Magnemite/Magneton family are doods so here's my take on the females. enjoy.

Breeding Egg Moves

I shall use Bullet Punch on Croagunk as an example.

1. Find a parent that can learn the move naturally by leveling up. In this case, it is Hit-mun-CHAAN!
2. So, in order to breed a move over, you need a Male with the move you want and a female of the species you want to breed into. In this example, you will need a Hitmonchan with Bullet Punch and a female Croagunk. Before you try this, make sure you check if they are compatible—you need to be sure they are in the same egg group. I've already checked these Pokémon—Hitmonchan and Croagunk are both in the "Humanshape" egg group.
3. Take your 2 Pokémon and put them in the Day Care Center and eventually an egg will appear with the pervy Old Man out front. He says it magically appeared out of nowhere,*wink wink*. 4 year old kids play these games so you should just imagine what happens in there. I always like to imagine big and small Pokémon in the same egg group going at it, like Bulbasaur and Abomasnow.
4. Hatch the egg by biking around (ANNOYING) a lot and voila! You should have a lv.1 Croagunk with Bullet Punch!

Acting in an uncertain Climate
As the waters continue to rise and marine sealife facing receding coastlines, nature has it's own way of sorting out who stays and who goes. The Sealeo, cut off from it's usual supply of Persim berries, feeds on Piplup to sustain itself. We know a great deal about Pokémon, but we are also discovering new things everyday!
